Railways, one of the oldest and most effective means of transportation. Be it people or goods Transportation, Railways System is one of most reliable source to lie upon. Whether it is a developed nation like U.S & China or any developing country, every nation rely on its Railway connectivity for its growth and requirements.
In this era of modern technology, civilizations are continuously evolving and we keep searching for a better and advance option to meet our requirements. Still, from centuries Railways System has successfully managed to uphold its position and importance in the society.
But when it comes to Indian Railways…!! We all have our own stories of Railway suffer (Hindi SAFAR or journey). Being one the largest Railway networks in the world and after 161 years of its existence, Indian Railway isn’t quite capable in delivering full satisfaction to its passengers. We all have complaints about hygiene, safety issues and reliability problems (delayed trains) with our Railway System (it is said to be ours).
Despite of all the faults and flaws in Indian Railway it still holds well in delivering the services to 125 crores typical Indians. We have such a huge Railway networks spread across entire subcontinent, providing services to one the most remote areas of the country. If the tracks of Indian railways were to be laid out, they would circle the earth almost 1.5 times. Such vast network carries over 13 million passengers & 1.3 million tons of freight every day, that’s more people than entire Australia and New Zealand’s combine population.
India, the land of diversity should be experienced by the supporting back bone of the country to live the experience to the fullest. As a traveler one should always remember, Railways is one of the best ways to visit and grasp the colors of any country in its true sense.
